We’re all human, so it makes sense that each of our team members has both a GOOD EGO and BAD EGO within them. As their leader, how can you stoke the fire of GOOD EGO and teach the folly of BAD EGO? A strong GOOD EGO will drive them to take pride in delivering quality work. A strong BAD EGO will cause them to treat customers poorly when they don’t see eye-to-eye.

What is the meaning of life? In our own way, each of us contemplates a version of this question. Think about it. We glide through life involved in our daily activities and, in a real sense, we’re guided by our own framework of meaning that we’ve formed and reformed over the years. Our own involvement with “meaning” usually runs in our mind in background mode during most of our waking moments as we drive to work, relate to our kids, pursue a hobby, please a customer or simply smile at a stranger. The clearer that meaning is, the easier it is for us to make what we feel are good decisions. That’s why our brains are hard-wired to constantly seek meaning in all information. Read more

On April 1st, the 2011 Diamond Certified Directory began mailing to more than 800,000 homeowners who requested copies, high income households, select local business owners, property and apartment managers, and insurance and real estate agents throughout the Greater Bay Area. Since this massive distribution began, reactions from consumers and businesses have been overwhelmingly positive and resulted in a 29% increase in calls to Diamond Certified companies over the first two weeks of the directory’s release (compared to the same period in 2010)—the most significant gain in the history of the Diamond Certified program.
