Bell Brother’s is one of the largest providers of plumbing, heating and air conditioning services in California. “With the merger of these two exceptional companies, our clients can expect nothing less than the very best in heating, air conditioning and plumbing services!” says co-owner Kenny Bell.

Bell Brother’s Heating and Air was founded in 1991 in Elk Grove, California by Kenny and his brother, Jerry Bell. After more than 25 years in the HVAC business, Bell Brother’s has expanded to not only specialize in heating and air services, but windows, plumbing, ductwork and insulation as well.

With more than $5 million in Home Energy Upgrade rebates earned for its customers, Bell Brother’s has established itself as a leader in California’s Home Energy Upgrade Program for utility companies SMUD and PG&E. Today, the company has 140 trucks on the road and more than 200 employees who serve the Greater Sacramento Area and parts of the seven surrounding counties.

Comparative Summary

In 1982, Jerry and Kenny Bell attended HVAC school in Phoenix, Arizona, where they learned the basics of heating and air. After graduating at the top of their class, they went to work in the trades and learned the HVAC business. In 1985, they were given the opportunity to go into the pizza business. They opened a pizza parlor in their hometown and worked for local HVAC contractors at the same time. In 1991, they began Bell Brother’s Heating & Air. With one old pizza delivery truck converted into a service truck, they placed an ad in the phone book. They made pizza and waited for the phone to ring, hoping for a service call. When one came in, they would change their shirts and service their customers. In 1995, the HVAC portion moved into its own building and hired its first employees. Their goal was to become the premier heating and cooling service company in the area.
